Damask Rose

Damask rose, or Rosa damascena, is one of the two most important rose varieties in perfumery, grown primarily in Bulgaria and Turkey. It produces an intensely rich, spicy, and deeply complex rose oil that has been treasured for centuries.

Damask rose has a warmer, more honeyed character than centifolia, with subtle clove-like and fruity facets. Damask rose is the rose of choice for many prestigious oriental and floral compositions.

It pairs beautifully with oud, saffron, patchouli, sandalwood, and musk.
